Job Requirements for Retail Store Supervisor Position

To qualify for this position, you should have:

• A secondary school diploma or equivalent experience
• Between 1 to 7 months of retail or supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• The ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
• Legal authorization to work in Canada (citizen, resident, or valid permit)
• Attention to detail and the ability to distinguish between colours

Responsibilities for Retail Store Supervisor Position

As Retail Store Supervisor, your main duties will include:

• Assigning daily duties to retail staff
• Selling merchandise and assisting customers
• Authorizing merchandise returns
• Maintaining and organizing inventory
• Resolving customer complaints and supply issues
• Preparing reports on sales, merchandising, and staffing
• Coordinating and supervising the work of 1–2 team members
• Creating and maintaining staff work schedules

Other Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate stock tracking and product display
• Foster a respectful and professional team environment
• Handle tasks that require both sitting and standing
• Support store goals through daily hands-on leadership
